Update: Evander Kane hit on Clayton Stoner (VIDEO)

The NHL is going to be following up with Evander Kane following his hit from behind on Anaheim's Clayton Stoner. Kane is set to have a hearing today with league officials, and hearings generally mean a suspension is about to be handed down. Kane received a major penalty and a game misconduct for the hit that even Jets head coach Paul Maurice refused to defend following the game. Stoner wasn't hurt on the play so it may help Kane avoid any kind of lengthy sentence from the league but it does seem inevitable he will receive at the very least a fine.
