It appears the 10 plus year NHL career of Russian born Ilya Bryzgalov may have come to end. The Anaheim Ducks announced today that they have placed Bryzgalov on unconditional waivers for the purpose of terminating his contract with the club. Bryzgalov signed a one year deal worth $2.88 million dollars this season with the Ducks, but the move has been an abject failure. Bryzgalov looked horrible in his time in goal for the Ducks posting an abysmal .847 save percentage. Bryzgalov had the best years of his career in Phoenix, but never really seemed to find himself after leaving the organization. He was heavily criticized during stints in Philadelphia, Edmonton and of course this current run in Anaheim. One thing is certain, members of the media will be sad to see him go, he was always good for a quote and they were usually highly entertaining, if not a little bizarre. Here's a look at some of the best moments of Ilya Bryzgalov.
