Vezina favorite goes down to injury after scary looking collision last night! (VIDEO)

Arguably the NHL's leading candiate for the Vezina this season went down last night, and we have yet to hear an official report on his status. Pekka Rinne went down after both the Canucks' Chris Higgins and Nashville's Anton Volchenkov crashed into him. Higgins was driving the net with the puck in an attempt to get a shot off when Volchenkov took him out with a hit that sent both men driving into Rinne, and then sent Rinne crashing into the boards. Rinnie got up under his own power but was forced to leave the game with a lower body injury. This is a huge blow to Nashville, Rinne registered his league leading 29th win, has a ,930 save percentage and is a huge part of the reason Nashville is quickly becoming a serious threat to make a Stanley Cup run this season.
