There is no excuse for this kind of play in hockey and hopefully the NHL throws the book at Corey Perry to set an example. In the final moments of the third period of the Blackhawks vs Ducks match up today Corey Perry unleashed a vicious crosscheck on Marian Hossa that left Hossa prone on the ice for several moments. Perry obviously already frustrated that his team was down two goals, with just moments left in the in game, appeared to snap when Hossa picked his pocket and created an turnover for Chicago.
