Things could not have gone much worse than they did for the Bruins last night. Despite holding the St. Louis Blues to 15 shots on goal, they lost by a final score of 5-1 after their goaltending let them down in the second period. Rookie Malcolm Subban allowed 3 goals on 6 shots and Tuukka Rask did not fair much better after Subban got the hook. The bad news didn't end there. Forward David Krejci left the game early in the second period and did not return due to an undisclosed injury. He was injured after trying to land a big open ice hit on Blues forward Alexander Steen. The good news for the B's is that Krejci did travel with the team today. Losing Krejci long term at this juncture in the season could spell disaster for Boston. Any encouraging sign at this point is music to our ears. Krejci will be re-evaluated in Chicago. “Don’t know quite the severity of it so we’ll have to see here,” said Bruins head coach Claude Julien, as per the club’s Twitter account. Let's hope it was not too serious.
