When Alexander Ovechkin turns on the jets, he's one difficult man to stop. In Saturday afternoon's Game 2 matchup between the Washington Capitals and New York Rangers, Ovechkin attempted to mount a comeback with his team trailing by a score of 3-1 in the third period. Ovi split the Rangers defence on a solo rush to the Rangers goal. He powered his way in between Rangers blue-liners Ryan McDonagh and Dan Girardi before getting tripped up. He somehow managed to roof a beautiful shot past Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist while on his knees. It was a classic Ovechkin goal and sparked some life into the Caps'. Unfortunately for Washington, Ovi's effort was not enough to overcome the deficit, as the Capitals fell by a final score of 3-2. Their series is now knotted up at one game a piece. This may be the nicest goal of the playoffs so far. [iframe id=""]
