The Rangers finally managed to get the best of Washington Capitals goaltender Braden Holtby. fired a quick shot over Holtby's shoulder on a rush 6:12 into the second period, opening the scoring of Wednesday's Game 4, and stopping Holtby's shutout streak at 100 minutes and five seconds. The Rangers had not scored since the third period of Game 2 prior to Brassard's tally. Washington responded with Andre Burakovsky's first career playoff goal 10:17 later to tie the contest. It ended up being New York's only tally against Holtby as the Rangers fell to the Caps' by a score of 2-1. Let's hope for more of this next time around.
