David Clarkson has had better weeks. He managed to get tossed in only his second game back in the lineup after being scratched for a pair earlier this week. He was assessed 27 penalty minutes in just two minutes and 31 seconds and that included a five-minute major penalty and that got him tossed. The Toronto Maple Leafs winger was assessed a five-minute major penalty and game misconduct Saturday for a dangerous hit on Montreal Canadiens defenseman Sergei Gonchar. He ten proceeded to drop the gloves for the second time in the game with Nathan Beaulieu. He previously fought Canadiens tough guy Brandon Prust. Gonchar did not come out to start the second period and will not return with an upper-body injury.
