For the second time in two games, a Philadelphia Flyer was the victim of a cut by the blade of an opponents skate. First Micheal Del Zotto was sliced across the neck by the skate blade of Avalanche forward Daniel Briere. Now Claude Giroux suffered a nasty cut across the leg when he got tangled up with Carolina Hurricanes's Justin Faulk on Friday night. The Flyers captain had blood piercing through the white on his sock and had to be rushed off the ice. Kevlar socks may have saved Giroux from significant injury as the Flyers do  not expect Giroux to miss any time. Giroux was counting his lucky stars after the game. "I know I got lucky. It's pretty scary...", said Giroux. This is the shot of Giroux and his bloody sock: (Image courtesy of FOX SPORTS)
