It seems like every time the Capitals defenceman Matt Niskanen plays the Flyers, he leaves a Flyer hurting on the ice. First it was a big hit on Laughton that forced him to miss nearly a month of action. Now it's Sean Couturier who was a victim of Niskanen. Couturier skates into the Caps' zone with the puck and Niskanen bears down on him hoping for a hit. Couturier connects with Niskanen on a knee-on-knee hit and Couturier ends up in a heap on the ice. Couturier could not put weight on his right leg after the hit. He left for the dressing room, and Niskanen was given a two-minute minor for kneeing with 30 seconds left in the frame. Couturier returned to the game in the second period. Pretty scary incident.
