There are moments in sport that are so touching you can not help but immerse yourself in the emotion that it brings. Hockey players are some of the best professionals in sports. Their countless charity and goodwill towards all the people that appreciate them is unmatched in the world of sport. The Dallas Stars truly proved how hockey is more than just the players on the ice. Meet Don Widdicombe. Don is known at the American Airlines Arena as the "Keeper of the Door". Widdicombe is the security guard posted outside the Stars’ dressing room at every home game. He has been a staple at the arena for over 15 years. Don was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2013, and is fighting a long and arduous battle to get well. He says being around the team has given him the strength and inspiration to carry on his fight. The Stars recognized his battle on Oct. 28 by allowing him to drop the puck before their game against the St. Louis Blues. In a truly awesome display of decency on the part of the Dallas Stars, Widdicombe is overcome with emotion at the recognition he received. A man who is usually content  be behind the scenes finally got to be the center of attention. Truly a magical moment.
