After Dustin Byfuglien delivered a dangerous crosscheck to a downed opponent, everyone was calling for his head, and the NHL subsequently suspended him. However there seems to be no talk surrounding a nearly identical play that occurred on Tuesday evening, this time with a Jets player being the victim. The St. Louis Blues David Backes delivered a vicious crosscheck directly to the back of the neck of Jets alternate captain Mark Stuart. Stuart was down in a prone position at the time of the crosscheck, and Backes can be seen dropping his stick with his full weight behind hit on Stuart's neck. [embed][/embed]
