VIDEO: Discipline is harsh for Garbutt after Byfuglien slew-foot.

Dallas Stars forward Ryan Garbutt has been suspended three games for slew-footing Winnipeg defenseman Dustin Byfuglien, the NHL's Department of Player Safety announced Thursday. Garbutt is a repeat offender and has been suspended twice in the past 13 months, the most recent of which being handed down on Nov. 27. Garbutt slew-footed Byfuglien after he lost body positioning to the Jets big man. He took the feet out from under him and slammed his upper body to the ice violently. Byfuglien was able to remain in the game. The suspension is explained in full detail here:
