Concussions have forced another NHLer into early retirement. Former Flyers and Phantoms defenseman Marc-Andre Bourdon has retired at the young age of 25. After signing a two year contract extension with the Flyers in 2012, Bourdon was limited to only 24 games in the AHL after the signing. During the 2011-2012 season, dressing in 45 games for the Flyers and accumulating 7 points, and 52 PIMS. His retirement announced on twitter early yesterday morning. "Concussions have ended the career of M- André Bourdon. He played only 45 games with the Flyers. Sad end but serene" We wish Bourdon the best of luck in his endeavours.
