VIDEO: He gets a 7-games suspension for trying to decapitate his opponent!

Tim Traber had 162 penalty minutes last season in 65 games with the Vancouver Giants in the WHL. The Quesnel, BC, native also has the Swiss nationality, so he decided to sign with the Genève-Servette club in the Swiss NLA last summer. Traber, 6'2" and 201lbs, didn't take long before he gets noticed overseas... At the start of the Champions Hockey League back in September when Geneva and Frölunda met, he frantically pummeled an opponent, Oscar Fantenberg, who had no intend to fight. Here's how it looked: Last Friday, Geneva was playing against Lugano. Traber attacked Marco Maurer with a crosscheck to the head, he was assessed a 5-minutes penalty and a game misconduct. Yesterday, Reto Steinmann, the man who's the league's disciplinary judge, announced that Traber was suspended for 7 games and was forced to pay a 1500 Swiss francs fine. Not much for literally trying to kill someone on the ice!
