Video: Giroux's preseason debut.

The Flyers finally has their captain and star player Claude Giroux in the line up as they took on the Rangers for the second straight night. While Giroux didn't directly impact the Flyers on the scoreboard he did contribute just under 17 minutes of ice time, a promising sign for Flyers fans concerned about his health. The Rangers got out to an early 1-0 lead when Carl Hagelin scored a short-handed goal just 4:47 into the first frame. The Flyers came roaring back however with 3 unanswered goals in the first two frames to take the lead, and they never looked back taking the eventual 4-2 victory. Matt Read was arguably the Flyers best player on the night, he registered 3 points, a goal and two assists. Wayne Simmonds and Mark Streit both put up two points for the Flyers.
