(Video) Gustav Nyquist, more than just a one hit wonder!

Coming off an incredible season that saw him put up 28 points in just 57 games Gustav Nyquist is out to prove to the world that he's more than just a one hit wonder. The world, because Red Wings fans already know they have a rare talent on their hands in Nyquist, and this season has only reinforced that belief. Nyquist is once again leading the charge in terms of scoring with 10 goals over his first 21 games, and has established himself as a top 6 forward in the NHL. Nyquist spoke to the Detroit Free Press about his recent run of success and Nyquist was quick to point out his teammates role in his success as well as the opportunities given to him by head coach Mike Babcock.

"I've played with great players in a lot of good situations," Nyquist said today. "A lot of power-play time, so that helps. It's been nice to see it go in."

Nyquist doesn't just excel as a top 6 forward in the league , he relishes the opportunity to play against the league;s best and challenge himself on a day to day basis, again from the Detrit Free Press:

"I think it's been fun," Nyquist said. "It's a challenge to play against the best players, and it makes you become a better player, I think. You learn a lot from that, so I think it's only a positive thing, because you're only going to get better from it."
