The New York Rangers experienced a scary moment early in the second period of Saturday's game against the Carolina Hurricanes, when a shot got under Henrik Lundqvist's mask and hit him in the throat.
At the 17:00 mark of the second frame the Hurricanes were circling the puck around the Rangers zone. Canes' forward Brad Malone took a high, rising shot that caught Lunqvist under his protective neck guard.
Lundqvist was down for a while and looked to be in a fair amount of distress. Fans at MSG chanted "Henry!" in support for him. Amazingly, Lundqvist was able to recover and continue the game.
