The Tampa Bay Lightning were not intimidated heading into Game 7 at Madison Square Garden and it showed. Not only did the Lightning have an excellent game offensively as well as defensively but they also dominated with their physicality. Perhaps it was partially as a result to the obvious injury that Ryan McDonagh was dealing with but none the less the Lightning earned a hard fought 2-0 victory. The highlight of the game came off of a fantastic hit from Matthew Carle who stepped up into the play and levelled Chris Kredider in the second period. The hit definitely gave Tampa some momentum and they never looked back.
