Hockey players are some of the toughest and meanest athletes out on the ice. However, you would be hard pressed to find a group of guys more cordial and supportive of each others success when off. Fans had a great example of this during the handshake line between the Washington Capitals and New York Islanders after the latter was eliminated in Game7 of their series. It was a particularly hard fought and hard-hitting series, but the Islanders were supportive of Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin and his quest for his elusive Stanley Cup.
