It was on this day in 1995 that former Winnipeg Jet Deron Quint achieved one of the most unlikely feats to ever be recorded in an NHL game. Quint matched a 64-year-old record, scoring twice in a 4 second span, in a 9-4 win over the Edmonton Oilers. His first goal came off a deflection on a shot from the point for just his second of the year. Seconds later, the Jets won the faceoff and the puck goes back to Quint. He fires a knucklepuck off the glass that takes a fortunate bounce and beats Oilers goaltender Joaquin Cage. This may never be matched again in history. What an oddity!
