They don't call Jonathan Toews "Captain Serious" for nothing. Toews is a very serious guy and when he talks, people take him seriously. Toews delivered a stern message to the fan base regarding an act that he, and the Chicago Blackhawks organization, find wrong and selfish. If you have ever attended a hockey game, you know that there are some fans who have a lot of difficulty staying in their seats. There are few things as irritating as spending hard earned money to see a game, only to have your view obstructed by someone who can't wait until intermission. It is precisely these maneuvers that the team is trying to eliminate at the United Center. An emergency is understandable, but unnecessary obstruction of the gameplay is enough to drive you nuts. We're hoping this message will spread loud and clear throughout North America, if you're going to get a bag of Jolly Ranchers, do it on your own time.
