The massive line brawl that occurred on Saturday during a game between the Hershey Bears and the Bridgeport Sound Tigers has resulted in multiple suspensions. The AHL announced the two suspensions on Monday, one to a player from each team. The Bears' forward Liam O'brien will sit for two games, while Bridgeport's Scott Mayfield was given the much stiffer penalty and will be suspended for 6 games. Mayfield was given the harsher of the suspensions because he not only resisted when the official put him in the box, he eventually left the box to engage in the brawl, O'brien on the other hand was suspended for leaving the bench during the incident.
