As per usual with a team being eliminated from the post season we start to learn about the injuries they were suffering through. The Montreal Canadiens, who were eliminated in Game 6 of their second round playoff series against Tampa Bay, are no different and on Thursday we started to get an idea of some of the more serious issues they were dealing with. One of the more serious reports surrounded defenseman Nathan Beaulieu who revealed that he suffered a fractured sternum in Game 3 of the first round against the Ottawa Senators. Beaulieu would miss 7 games after a nasty hit from Ottawa's Erik Karlsson. Despite the injury Beaulieu would come back against Tampa Bay but was clearly not 100%. Here is the hit that caused the injury.
