VIDEO: NHLer a bloody mess after vicious hit at World championship.

A game between Sweden and Germany at the Wortld Championship's on Thursday featured a particular nasty hit. German Stephan Daschner went up high with what appears to be a nasty elbow to the face of Nashville Predators defenseman Mattias Ekholm. The result was Ekholm's face exploding leaving him and his jersey a bloody mess after the fact, but to his credit he would return to the game and play 19 minutes on the day. Here's the hit from Daschner. Ekholm is one tough S.O.B. as he headed to the klocker room for repairs he took the opportunity to let Daschner know exactly how he felt about the hit.
