The New York Rangers emerged victorious in their Game 6 matchup, but it may have hampered their captain in  the process. Rangers captain Ryan McDonagh was hurt late in the third period after being crunched hard along the boards by Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin. The Rangers defenseman left the game appearing to favor his left shoulder but quickly returned to the bench. The extent of the injury is unknown as it stands, but the good news for New York is that they once again staved off elimination with a 4-3 win and now force a pivotal Game 7 in New York.
