Sometimes you see a goal so clean, it takes a second look before you even realize if it should count. That's what Montreal Canadiens forward Devante Smith-Pelley managed on Saturday night's Game 5 matchup versus the Tampa Bay Lightning. The grinder managed to put a perfect shot past Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop with about a three-inch window with where to place the puck. It rang off of the back crossbar, fooling nearly everyone in the building including Smith-Pelley himself. Montreal currently leads 1-0 in the opening frame. It's also worth noting that Smith-Pelley's goal was assisted by Torrey Mitchell and Jeff Petry, all trade deadline acquisitions. GM Marc Bergevin is definitely smiling somewhere.
