Video: Player stretchered off the ice after suffering horrific looking injury.

First and foremost our thoughts are with Vladislav Kartayev, who hopefully will be ok after he suffered a horrific looking injury. The incident occurred during the early moments of the second period of a KHL game between Lokomotiv Yaroslavl and CSKA Moscow. Kartayev was driving hard to the net in an attempt to score for his team when he tripped over a downed Kirill Vorobyov in the crease, and the result was terrifying. Kartayev went into the post with a ton of momentum, and the point of impact appeared to be dead center on his back. Kartayev was writhing in pain on the ice before eventually being carted off on a stretcher. You can see the incident here courtesy of the HKL.
