Penalties can get you into big trouble in the playoffs and unfortunately for the Washington Capitals, they're in some at the moment.
During Saturday afternoon's Game 2 matchup between the Caps and New York Rangers, big hitting Cap' Tom Wilson was called for a charge after he left his feet to deliver a hit at the end of the first frame. The contact was minimal, but the call was made nonetheless.
The Rangers already have one power-play goal and are badly out-shooting the Capitals after one period of play. New York currently leads by a score of 2-0 and this penalty could prove costly.
Was this the right call or just another soft one?
