Video: Referee Steve Miller takes a stick to the face.

As bad as NHL officiating at some points during this 2014-2015 NHL season, you never want to see anyone get hurt. Unfortunately for referee Steve Miller he was injured in a flukey accident this evening while officiating the game between the Anaheim Duck and the Ottawa Senators. While dropping the puck for the face off in the Ottawa zone Miller was hit right in the jaw with the butt end of Senator David Legwand's stick. Miller was immediately in some severe discomfort and understandably so. Hopefully he's alright.
