(VIDEO): Rob Klinkhammer goes knee-on-knee with Matt Cooke!

Knee-on-knee hits are every hockey players nightmare. These hits are extremely dangerous and have been known to end careers. Unfortunately for Minnesota Wild forward Matt Cooke, that is exactly what happened to him in Tuesday night’s matchup against the Edmonton Oilers. Cooke jars the puck loose off the boards and turns very suddenly up the ice. Oilers winger Rob Klinkhammer gets the knee out a little to wide and clips Cooke with a direct knee-on-knee. Cooke remained down for about a minute but was able to make his way to the bench, albeit in visible pain. Matt Cooke is certainly no angel, but these kinds of hits are the bane of the NHL’s existence and should never be thrown. Even on Matt Cooke. Is this a suspension worthy offense?
