As the seconds died off on the clock and Canada celebrated their World Junior gold medal victory, every Canadian was excited to be back on top of the hockey world. But lost in the celebration was one terrible display of unsportsmanlike conduct on the part of one Russian hockey player.
Russian forward Vladislav Gavrikov showed his frustration at the loss, by whipping his stick violently into the crowd at the Air Canada Center.
The stick apparently struck a fan in the crowd, and reportedly, the fan was met by officers of the Toronto Police service after the incident, but no other details have emerged at this moment in time.
In the video you can see Gavrikov on the left side of the ice by himself, before he chucks the stick in the crowd. What a terrible sore loser.
