(VIDEO): Ryan Reaves busted open by a skate to the mouth!

Sometimes making a dumb play can result in a dangerous situation for all involved. St. Louis Blues forward Ryan Reaves came close to serious injury in this afternoon's game between the Blues and their rivals the Chicago Blackhawks. It all started because of a questionable play by Reaves. Reaves was clearly frustrated on this shift and took out his anger on Hawks' forward Teuvo Teravainen. He trips Teravainen and takes him clear off his feet. Unfortunately for Reaves, Teravainen's skate ends up hitting him square in the chops. The Blues forward received a minor penalty for interference on the play, but went straight to the Blues’ room for repairs. Team doctors patched him up and Reaves was able to return to the game. This incident could have been a lot worse.
