The Buffalo Sabres are pretty bad, but to be quite honest, it's nothing new. The team seems to be constantly rebuilding and that has made for some lacklustre years recently. However, the Buffalo Sabres did something on Sunday that they had not done in a very, very long time. Sabres defenseman Nikita Zadorov scored a power-play goal in the second period of Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers, when he sent a laser one-timer past Flyers goaltender Ray Emery, on a 5-on-3 man advantage. It marked the end of an incredible drought as it was the first 5-on-3 goal scored by the Sabres since Tomas Vanek scored the last one on March. 23, 2013. To put things in perspective, Vanek has played three different teams over that span. To be exact it's 694 days, or one year, 10 months and 23 days. Small victories. [iframe id=""]
