VIDEO: Scandella receives discipline for his hit on Oshie.

Marco Scandella had a meeting today with the NHL Board of Player Safety for his illegal check to the head of St. Louis Blues forward T.J Oshie. The league has decided to fine Scandella $2,755.38 for the hit. Oshie briefly left the game but was cleared to return. The reason for the fine was the fact that Scandella targeted the head of Oshie as the main point of contact. The league has tried to crack down on these hits. Luckily for the Wild there was no suspension handed down. Scandella is due to earn $1.15 million this season.
