There are players that go out and play physical on each and every shift, and then there are players that do double time. That is exactly what Anaheim Ducks forward Devante Smith-Pelly managed to do in Wednesday night's matchup versus the Tampa Bay Lightning. With the Ducks forechecking in the Lightning zone, Smith-Pelly decided it was time to throw the old body around. He lines up Andrej Sustr in the corner and absolutely levels the 6'8/225 pound Tampa defender, leaving him in a heap on the ice. But he wasn't done there. As the play comes to a halt in front of the Tampa net, Smith-Pelly follows through with a bone-crunching hit on another behemoth Lightning D-man. He crushes Victor Hedman, who is no slouch himself at 6'6/ 233 pounds. A scrum ensues after the fact, but it takes nothing away from Smith-Pelly on this shift. Keep in mind that Devante Smith-Pelly weighs in at 6'0/220 pounds and he took out two massive men. What a beast!
