Steve Mason has got to be the unluckiest member of the Philadelphia Flyers. Mason was forced out of Sunday's game with an apparent lower-body injury. The worst part about the incident is that Mason was not even exerting himself when he apparently hurt his leg. Mason was helped off the ice by team trainers and had a lot of difficulty getting to the locker room. Flyers GM Ron Hextall announced following the second period that Mason would not return to the game. Mason previously suffered two lower-body injuries this season, causing him to miss 10 total games. Heading into the game with the Capitals, Mason had been a bright spot for the Flyers, sporting a .925 save percentage in 33 appearances. Let's hope it's not serious, as weird injuries like this one are often worse than they initially appear.
