The New York Rangers were visiting the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday night, and Dan Boyle was on his way back to the locker room feeling like a hero. In fact everyone in the building believed it to be true, so much so that the players from both teams had left the ice and were already thinking of the next game. That's when Toronto made the call to the officials on the ice, Dan Boyle, had "double tapped" the puck on his penalty shot and the goal was overturned. Apparently some of the players only heard the news when they were already half way out of their gear. You will likely never see a call like this again in the NHL, and the irony of it all, the Penguins ended up with the win in the shootout!
