Cherry began his career in hockey as the head coach of the Boston Bruins, where he saw success and drove referees absolutely mad. Cherry really made a name for himself when he began his popular "Coach's Corner" segment after being hired full-time by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in 1981.
