Vlasic shoves Crosby in to the Sharks bench.

The San Jose Sharks weren't doing themselves any favors with their sloppy play on Monday night.

With his team already down a goal in the first period Sharks defenseman Marc-Edouard Vlasic put his team down a man with an obvious and easy penalty call for the official who was bumped on the play. Vlasic shoved Penguins forward Sidney Crosby through the Sharks bench door and on to the floor of the Sharks bench during a line change.

While Vlasic may have been trying to get in Crosby's head with the physical play, it was a careless decision so close to an NHL official. Luckily for Vlasic the Penguins did not capitalize on the power play but neither did his Sharks close the gap.
