Evgeni Malkin wins a faceoff back to Ian Cole who rifles a wrister past Sergei Bobrovsky, giving Malkin the 500th assist of his career. Malkin has played 694 NHL games. He has 35 assists this season.

"It's a tight hockey game. There's a few chances we feel like we could have got," Pittsburgh forward Sidney Crosby said. "They had some good ones. [Murray] made some saves. It's going to happen sometimes. but for the most part we did a lot of good things."
