What a man.

Boston Bruins defenseman Adam McQuaid needed 25 stitches to close the wound he suffered when he was struck in the neck by the skate blade of teammate David Backes, but that didn't prevent him from finishing his shift.

While many men would have panicked after taking a serious cut to that specific area of the body McQuaid simply checked his neck briefly and, in an unbelievable display of toughness, was throwing himself in front of the puck in an attempt to block it with his body just moments later.

Granted McQuaid left the ice at the first opportunity to do so without hurting his team, but the mere fact that he remained on the ice at all is a testament to his courage and toughness.
