The Boston Bruins will be without the services of Austin Czarnik for a couple of days. Czarnik took a late hit from goon Radko Gudas on Saturday when the Bruins faced the Flyers.
Gudas is due to have a hearing today with the NHL Department of Player Safety (it was confirmed to be an in-person hearing, but Gudas opted for a phone hearing instead). He is expected to be suspended at least five days as a repeat offender, after escaping NHL justice with his booming hit on Jimmy Vesey a few days prior.
Czarnik was diagnosed with a mild concussion and is expected to miss 7-10 days. With concussions, it is always difficult to tell, since the symptoms have to be non-existent for a few days before the player is cleared to play again.
