We've got a pretty hilarious highlight out of the Kontinental Hockey League.
During a match up between Sibir and Metallurg Mg a referee unfortunately found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time and ended up the victim of a solid straight punch right on the jaw.
The referee clearly wasn't the target, Metallurg's Evgeny Timkin had just been challenged by Sibir's Yuri Sergiyenko and over a slash that had just occurred and it was Sergiyenko that Timkin was trying to cheap shot.
To the referee's credit, while he did appear rocked from the initial punch, he stayed in the play and kept doing his job.
