Weise clothlines two lightning players at the same time, takes a hilarious penalty.

Just a straight up clothesline.

While we're sure that neither Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Slater Koekkoek nor Tampa Bay Lightning forward Ondrej Palat thought this play was very funny, there was just something about watching it in the moment that had me laughing.

On Friday night Philadelphia Flyers forward Dale Weise made what is inarguably a bonehead play, skating down the ice with his stick way up in the air and catching both of the aforementioned Lightning players in the face in the process.

What made the play so funny was the fact that the positioning of Weise's stick made it so that both Koekkoek and Palat were applying pressure on opposite sides of the stick. This resulted in both players effectively being clotheslined, and it understandably left them both shaken up on the ice.

Not only was it a boneheaded play from Weise, but it also put the lethal Lightning power play back out on the ice late in the third period.
