The Minnesota have been showing the league how to play defense and they did that once again tonight. They gave up only 20 shots to one of the hottest offenses going and one of the hottest lines in the NHL. The Benn-Seguin-Spezza line has been on fire, but The Wild decided to put those fires out tonight. The Stars' big lined still combined for half of their teams shots but could not get on past Darcy Kuemper. The Wild have only given up 14 goals in 10 games. That is nuts. In an NHL where scoring is suppose to be at an all time high, the Wild are playing great defensively. Some other positives from this game are Thomas Vanek scoring his first of the season after a tough week with him being involved in a money laundering scheme. On top of him scoring his first, it was the Wild's first power play goal of the season. The Wild will now take on another team who has been great defensively as of late, the Pittsburgh Penguins, Marc-Andre Fleury has 3 shut outs in his last 4 games. It will be quite the goaltending matchup. [iframe id="" mode="normal"]
