With Anthony Mantha set to return to action this month after fracturing his left Tibia, we thought we would get you Wings' fans familiar with why everyone is so excited about this rising superstar. Mantha was hurt Sept. 15 during the NHL Prospects Tournament in Traverse City.He hit a rut in the ice and turned, colliding with an opposing player. Mantha finished the game, but an MRI the next day showed the severity of the injury. He could return to action as early as Nov.15. Drafted by Detroit Red Wings in round 1 #20 overall i the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, Mantha is a scoring powerhouse for the Val D'Or Foreurs of the QMJHL. In 189 games with Val D'Or, Mantha has scored 129 times (including two 50+ goal seasons), and totalled 260 points in three seasons. At 6'5/ 205lbs, his unique mix of speed and size will make him a nightmare for years to come.
