World famous NHL goalie tells us why he decided to end his life. (VIDEO)

This is the story of Clint Malarchuk, one of the most recognizable names in all of hockey, and in all of North American pro sports. Despite the fact that he played for the Quebec Nordiques, Buffalo Sabres, and Washington Capitals, as well as coaching for teams like the Columbus Blue Jackets, Florida Panthers, and Calgary Flames, Malarchuk is most remembered for an incident in which his throat was slashed open and he nearly bled out and died on the ice. Amazingly Malarchuk returned to the ice just 10 days after the incident, and by all appearances was fine. He wasn't though, and this is the story of Clint Malarchuk, a story that took him down a long dark road that eventually would lead him to the decision to end his own life.
