The two men who led the charge against Mike Babcock are speaking out about his resignation.

The Mike Babcock fiasco came to a head on Sunday when Babcock was forced to resign from his position as head coach of the Columbus Blue Jackets.

We've already seen some pretty fiery reactions from some of Babcock's former players following his resignation, but now the two men who led the charge on this story are sharing their own reactions to the news.

The story was first broken by former National Hockey League player Paul "Biznasty" Bissonnette on the Spittin Chiclets podcast that he co-hosts alongside fellow former NHL player Ryan Whitney, but not everyone initially believed their reports. The Blue Jackets themselves released contradictory statements, including one from Blue Jackets captain Boone Jenner, statements that led many to question the honesty and integrity of Bissonnette and Whitney's reporting.

Now that both former players have been vindicated, as you might expect they are letting everyone who doubted them hear about it.

"Wow that's nuts. We were just making all that stuff up for clicks," wrote Whitney, sarcastically mocking a comment he had no doubt heard many times over the course of the last week.

Bissonnette was considerably less diplomatic:

"We’re a players podcast. If you fuck with the players, your day will come," said a very confident Bissonnette.

Given that this report led to the firing of a veteran head coach in the National Hockey League, you can fully expect that the next time these guys report a story of this nature it will be taken seriously right from the get go.
