Boston Bruins tease a major announcement this week.

The Boston Bruins dropped a bit teaser on Sunday night, letting their fans know that they should be prepared for a big announcement coming later in the week.

The tease comes in the form of an 8 second video that features Bruins star forward David Pastrnak, although Pastrnak doesn't speak in the short clip. Instead Pastrnak can be seen looking down at the camera lens from above as he reaches down and grabs what appears to be a jersey from off camera. Pastrnak then holds it up in front of him before the video quickly cuts off before showing any more.

As the video ends we can clearly see 6.25.25 on the screen, indicating that the official announcement will be made on Wednesday.

Now it isn't much of a stretch but I suspect that the Bruins are about to unveil their new jerseys and it's not just the teaser that leads me to believe that. Back in March I covered a news report that appeared to have leaked a new Bruins jersey being worked on for the 2025-26 National Hockey League regular season, something that would line up perfectly with a jersey announcement later this week.

Now there is also the matter of Pastrnak being featured so prominently in this video. Pastrnak is of course the team's biggest star and that could be the reason he was chosen to star in the teaser, but I also wonder if it might not be a sign of something more.

The Bruins find themselves without a captain since they traded Brad Marchand to the Florida Panthers at the trade deadline, could it be the case that Pastrnak will be wearing a new jersey next season in more ways than one? Perhaps a jersey with the "C" emblazoned across the chest?
